What educators are saying

My students enjoyed these morning prompts! I tried visual prompts with them, but they much prefer writing prompts to get their thoughts going.
I use this resource every morning in my creative writing class. The variety of prompts is engaging and I appreciate having editable documents that I can tailor to fit the needs of my class.

Description

*EDITABLE* A Year of Journal Prompts Bell Ringers or Exit Slips Bundle includes: Over 400 writing prompts aligned with the ELA Common Core Standards for reading, writing, speaking and listening, language, and history strands. The prompts are provided in Powerpoint and in Microsoft Word, so they are completely editable and perfect for distance learning!

NOTE: If you are looking for a version of the prompts already formatted in Google Drive, they are here: JOURNAL PROMPTS in GOOGLE SLIDES

This IS included in my mega bundle: ALL of my WRITING RESOURCES GROWING BUNDLE.

This jumbo bundle contains two presentations with prompts that can be projected for the class (over 300 slides of writing prompts) AND a 68-page file (in both Word and PDF formats) with several student handouts and all the prompts in smaller, printable font. I also added task cards, so you can print them out (four to a page) and use for stations or exit slips or bell ringers.

The writing prompts include almost 200 based on events in history, current events, pop culture or holidays from around the world. The others are prompts that can be used anytime.

As a bonus, you also get 45 one-liners (finish the sentence) that can be used as exit slips or ice-breakers, and over 70 quotes that can be used as writing prompts, bringing the total to almost 400 writing exercises in all.

Includes teacher's guide, student handouts, and list of aligned standards. Teachers can share the prompts with their students online in Google Classroom, Edmodo, or other similar secured platforms.

Download the preview, which includes the August prompts, to get a glimpse of the overall product.
