Informational Text - Social Studies & Science Topics

Elementary Insider is a series of newspaper styled informational texts. Each volume has 2 pages filled with social studies or science topics. There is an activity and CCSS aligned comprehension questions. These are great to use during unit, small reading groups, or to leave for a substitute. The reading level is great for 2nd grade and would be good for end of year 1st grade. These resources are great for teaching and reteaching text features. Each newspaper has headings, bold words, captions, and a glossary.
