    Description

This comprehensive lesson plan bundle provides educators with two distinct lesson plans that explore the topic of breastmilk vs formula. Each lesson plan is designed to engage students in critical thinking and scientific inquiry and is suitable for students in high school.

Lesson Plan 1: Breastmilk vs Formula Research Project and Class Debate

In this lesson plan, students will work in small groups to research and present the advantages and disadvantages of breastmilk and formula. They will use a variety of sources, including scientific studies, to gather information and form arguments for their respective positions.

After conducting their research, students will participate in a class debate where they will defend their positions on the topic. This exercise will allow students to develop their critical thinking and communication skills, as well as gain a deeper understanding of the complexities of infant nutrition.

Lesson Plan 2: Breastmilk vs Formula - A Scientific Experiment

In this lesson plan, students will engage in a scientific approach to comparing and contrasting breastmilk and formula. They will learn about the composition of breastmilk and formula, and explore how the two differ in terms of scent, visual cues, and microscope investigation and impact on infant health.

Through hands-on activities and experiments, students will investigate the benefits and limitations of each feeding option, and gain a deeper understanding of the factors that influence infant nutrition. By the end of the lesson, students will be able to articulate the pros and cons of each option, and make informed decisions about which option is best for their own infants in the future.

Lesson Plan #3: How to Bottle Feed a Baby

In this lesson plan students will learn through video clips, demonstrations and hands-on activities where each student will have the opportunity to bottle feed a Real Care Baby doll for realistic opportunities. Plus a fun reflection about what they learned and how the activity went for them.

    Features of the Bundle:
