Suggestions for Making Project-Based Learning a Success:
Β β Wrap up math units with your whole class by assigning these project-based learning activities.
Β β Evaluate the abilities of your gifted and talented students through a pretest at the beginning of a unit. If they pass before receiving instruction, provide them with an independent math project instead.
Β β Invite students to complete these project-based learning assignments with a partner or small group to encourage math discussion.
Β β Print activities or assign several of the independent projects through digital means (Google Classroom, TPT Easel, etc.)
This project-based learning bundle saves you money and is a great extension for any math curriculum!

BONUS: Fraction and Decimal Card Game:
This is a simple task-related game my gifted and talented students play as a math warm-up or when they finish early. Students take turns drawing a task card and flipping over corresponding fraction cards. They record their work and responses on a separate sheet. They may also graph the frequency of times they draw each card.Β
