What educators are saying

This is a great resource to introduce ethics and morals. I highly recommend this resource as so many of my kids enjoyed it! It can even be used with older kids to make them think critically about why something may be fair to one but not the other (perspective taking). Highly recommend!
My students and parents loved this resource! It was engaging and educational, providing necessary information and communication for all. Outstanding!

Description

Get kids thinking outside the box and think about justice, acceptance, and diversity by having your students determine what they think is just or unjust.

Why use Just or Unjust - A Civics Sorting Activity? Children need to learn to think for themselves about what is right. This activity will get the children thinking and defending their thinking.
How it works: Here's an activity based on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his peaceful protests on what is just and unjust. Children will sort statements according to what they feel is fair and unfair. There are no right or wrong answers, merely opinions that should be supported.

What's included: This resource has 24 situations where the children discuss and decide what they think is just and what they think is unjust. Beware, this might lead to some passionate conversations!

There are also several related writing pages for writing their thought after these rich discussions with different writing lines and images, available in color or in black and white for easier printing.

These are great conversation starters!
