  • Dr. Helen Rodriguez Trías – a pediatrician who was the first Latina director of the American Public Health Association.
  • Alberto Pedro Calderón – an internationally recognized mathematician who made contributions to many topics in math.
  • Albert Baez – a physicist who co-invented the x-ray reflection microscope to study living cells.
