Have you heard of the Candy Corn Bandit Fall & Halloween activity? It's an engaging, fun-filled Halloween or Fall making predictions lesson with a craft that would look adorable on your hallway bulletin board this October! There's also a directed drawing, how-to activity, and writing responses.
The Candy Corn Bandit was designed as a high-interest activity to support making predictions for students in kindergarten, first grade, and second grade. You will plant clues around your school building and classroom to help you students find the loot that the Candy Corn Bandit nabbed! Additionally, it includes writing activities, a directed drawing activity, a how-to activity, and more! It is not Halloween-specific, so it can be used during the fall in October in many classroom settings. It is for sure one of my students' favorite activities that we did all year!

In this lesson, you will take your class on a hunt to find a missing treat in the classroom, library, lunchroom (or wherever your students eat), gym, and playground, all the while encouraging your students to predict what the Candy Corn Bandit looks like, where he might've taken your treat, and where you might find the next clue. This resource also includes extensions for sequencing, ordinal numbers, how-to writing, a directed drawing, a WANTED poster writing activity, The Candy Corn Bandit craft, a questioning writing prompt, and writing pages to use as you wish.
