September 11, 2021, marks the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The book takes young readers through the events of that day, particularly at the World Trade Center. The book also introduces the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. The book's other main character is a young girl living in Afghanistan, living her daily life in fear and the hopes for a peaceful and free life.

This project can be used any time of the year. The project bundle includes 2 characters from Alan Gratz's Ground Zero. I adapted the body biography concept to align with citing textual evidence, character traits, research, and inference skills.
