My kindergarten students love reading the different versions of the gingerbread man. The gingerbread pirates is fun, and they enjoyed creating this theme craft to go along with it.
Have always loved this book, and this companion is so engaging! My students loved making their own gingerbread pirate and retelling the story.
Description
Your students "Arrr" going to love this cute reading comprehension craftivity! Gingerbread Pirates is one of my favorite stories to read during the holidays! After reading the story, choose which retelling treasure chest pages meet the needs of your students.
This pack includes the following treasure chest patterns to choose from:
-Treasure Chest Cover
-Beginning, Middle, End
-Story Summary
-Characters and Setting
Girls will decorate a gingerbread girl pirate to attach to the top of their treasure chest and boys will do the same with the gingerbread boy. They may also create additional pirate decorations to use on their gingerbread pirates. Last year my class had so much fun designing and creating their own gingerbread pirates using the cute decorations. Each one looked so different and cute!
