    Description

This huge fractions bundle contains 7 of my fraction resources, covering everything from understanding 1/2, to using 1/2 as a benchmark fraction, to fractions on a number line, to equivalent fractions, to comparing and ordering fractions, and more.

Save over 30% when you buy the mega bundle!

    This fraction bundle includes:

    1. Understanding the Fraction 1/2

Students will develop a solid foundation of the fraction 1/2, which will make it easier for them to compare and order fractions and understand equivalent fractions. They will get to experience a variety of visual models - including pictures, fraction bars, and number lines before practicing their understanding of fractions equivalent to 1/2 without the models.

    This fraction practice resource includes:

    • 1 student reference poster
    • 6 scaffolded worksheets/activities that guide students in their understanding of ½ and fractions equivalent to 1/2
    • a "Beat the Clock" game that helps you easily assess student understanding
    • 2 "4 in a Row" game boards to help students practice this skill in a fun way
    • Answer Keys and a grading rubric

    2. Comparing Fractions to 1/2

In this resource, students have the opportunity to compare fractions to 1/2 using a variety of visual models, including pictures and number lines. After practice with visual models (including fractions on a number line), students will compare fractions to 1/2 without that scaffold in place.

    This comparing fractions resource includes:

    • 8 fraction activities that help scaffold students so they can successfully compare fractions to 1/2
    • a no prep "Beat the Clock" game to help you easily assess student understanding
    • a snowball fight and scavenger hunt activity to help students practice comparing fractions

These activities can be used as comparing fractions workstations, homework, review, math centers, differentiated activities, morning work, and more.

    3. Fractions on a Number Line

This mostly no prep resource is scaffolded to help students develop a thorough understanding of fractions on a number line. It includes worksheets, activities, task cards, centers, and more that cover this skill in a variety of ways to help make teaching fractions on a number line easier for you.

This fractions on a number line resource includes:

    • 11 fractions on a number line worksheets that start easier and become increasingly more difficult (great for differentiating)
    • a whole class Snowball Fight Activity
    • a small group or center activity to practice comparing and ordering fractions on a number line
    • 32 fraction task cards with differentiated answer sheets
    • a fractions on a number line assessment
    • answer keys and a grading rubric

These activities can be used in upper elementary for small groups, assessments/test, center activities, explicit instruction, for special education students, for ELL students, for fraction workstations, and more.

    4. Equivalent Fractions

Help make teaching equivalent fractions easier and more understandable for your students - This unit starts with a basic introduction to equivalent fractions, and then is scaffolded with visuals to help your students master this skill as the concepts get more difficult. The scaffolding also helps you differentiate more easily. Activities, centers, and games are provided for additional equivalent fractions practice. And as an added bonus, most of these activities are no prep equivalent fraction resources - just print and go!

    This resource includes:

    • 10 equivalent fraction worksheets that help students develop a true understanding of equivalent fractions
    • a "Find the Equivalent Fraction" Scavenger Hunt activity
    • 4 fun mazes that can be used as no prep centers
    • a "snowball fight" whole class activity
    • 3 equivalent fraction coloring mystery pictures that make great centers
    • a grading rubric and answer keys

These activities can be used in upper elementary for small groups, assessments/test, center activities, explicit instruction, math workshop, for special education students, for equivalent fraction stations / workstations, and more.

    5. 6. 6Fun Fraction Art Activity

Fractions are more fun when you get to practice them through art and drawing. These no prep activities are a great way to engage your artistic students while doing some fraction review! Use these printables for math centers, independent practice, or homework.

This resource requires students to draw specific scenes based on the given instructions. In order to draw the scene correctly, students will have to use their knowledge of fractions!

Each scene has 2 different sets of instructions to help make differentiation easier on you. One set of instructions requires students to have the ability to reduce/enlarge fractions. The other set of instructions does not require reducing or enlarging.

There are 9 no prep drawing instructions.

After teaching the basics of fractions, your 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade students will love to practice what they've learned in a fun way!

    6. All About Me Fraction Book

This no prep All About Me Book is a fun way to review fractions. Students create a book about themselves using their knowledge of fractions. This is a great back to school activity for students that are already familiar with fractions, makes for a fun activity during a fraction unit, or can be used as a bulletin board or display for parents during Open House!

To create this fraction book, students answer questions about themselves - but the answer must be given in a fraction!

    7. Fraction Cards

These 64 fraction cards can be used to practice a variety of different fraction skills. After cutting the fraction cards out, use them over and over again in different ways to make for a fun and low prep fraction center. The fraction cards include fractions with denominators of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10.

There are cards with a colored background and cards that can be printed out in black and white.

This resource also includes 5 reusable center activities with student recording sheets. The centers include:

    1. Less Than, Greater Than, Equal to – have students sort their fraction cards based on what fractions are greater than, less than, or equal to ½ and write their answers on the recording sheet.
    2. Equivalent Fractions – have students match up different equivalent fractions and record them on their recording sheet.
    3. Compare and Order 3 Fractions – have students draw 3 fractions and write them in order from least to greatest on their recording sheet.
    4. Put on a Number Line – have students draw 3 fractions and place them on the approximate correct place on a blank number line.
    5. Compare and Order 5 Fractions – have students draw 5 fractions and write them in order from least to greatest on their recording sheet.
