Five Senses Mini Book and Comprehension Activities
This Five Senses Mini Book is an easy read for primary grades and special education classrooms. It is a 10-page mini book that has a short sentence about each of the five senses, along with comprehension activities.
Activities Included:
-My Five Senses Mini Book – Cut the pages on the dotted lines and staple the pages in order (Color & black and white version included)
-5 pages of Look and Find Worksheets – 1 for each of the five senses (sight, hearing, smell, taste, and feel)
-Label the Senses Worksheet (Color & Black and white included) with 3 options for labeling
Five Senses Flipbook
This Five Senses Flip Book was a great way to have my students practice sorting things by each of the 5 senses. After students assemble the book, they can practice reading simple sentences about their five senses using the picture prompts. This flip book is made for easy assembly with blank pages built in for 2-sided printing, and a directions page. It comes in 2 versions:
-Color
-Black and white for low-ink printing
Five Senses Observation Activity - Popcorn Book
Have fun making popcorn with your students while learning about the five senses! This engaging classroom observation activity is designed for primary grades and special education classrooms, and will get your students excited to explore how they use their five senses! This product comes in both color and black and white for low ink printing.
What you need:
To complete Observation Activity:
Air popcorn machine, popcorn kernels or microwave popcorn and microwave (butter and salt optional)
*When I do this classroom observation with my class I use an air popcorn machine (I got mine at target for $19.99 and I love it), but if you do not have one and do not want to purchase one, you can still complete this activity with microwave popcorn.
To complete craftivity Popcorn Shaker:
2 paper plates per student, popcorn kernels, stapler, glue stick
Five Senses Popcorn Observation Activity:
1. Put together the Popcorn Observation Book – cut on the dotted lines and staple the pages together
2. Make POPCORN! - Students can complete the observation book while making the popcorn by circling, coloring, or daubing their answers. Talk about how you use your five senses to learn about popcorn.
*Directions for Popcorn Shaker Craftivity included in packet.
