Description

This is a PDF template document that 'very closely' resembles the website Facebook. This 3-page document includes a Homepage, Photo page, and Info page much like those on Facebook. Because so many students use Facebook, this activity is HIGHLY MOTIVATING and meets the needs of a diverse student population. This template is visual, reduces writing, can be used to require high and low-level thinking, relates to students, is great for informal assessment, and can be used across the curriculum.

HOW TO USE IT:
Print the template and have individual students or pairs choose a character, historical figure, or even a cell part to research and fill in the pages for. Students use reasoning skills, creativity, or actual facts to name 'friends', activities, movies, food, books their character likes (or might like). In addition, students can draw pictures of their character (or cell part) to tell more about what their character has been through or places they may have been. This is really a simple activity that meets a WIDE variety of student thinking and ability levels.
