The printable CVC word packets include sound boxes, Elkonin boxes, cut and glue activities, spelling practice, and decodables. All printable worksheets are in both color and black and white for easy printing.
The Nearpod games are easy to use and include a variety of activities, including matching and a popular game called Time to Climb. Play them as a class or assign them to individual students.

An introduction to Nearpod...
Have you ever used Nearpod to help support your literacy instruction? I HIGHLY recommend it!!! This is a great way for students to practice their phonics skills. Nearpod is an engaging and interactive way to deliver instruction through distance learning and/or support your math centers. You can create a free Nearpod account, and the instructions for doing so are included in this bundle. It only takes 2 minutes to sign up.
Students can either join the lesson by using a desktop/Chromebook and going to the Nearpod website OR students can use the app on a tablet/ipad.
Nearpod can be used in two ways. These lessons can be assigned to your whole class simultaneously, allowing you to control your students' screens even when in a different location. This makes them perfect for distance learning!!! They can also be assigned to individual students to complete at their leisure, again making it ideal for distance learning. I LOVE to assign Nearpod lessons as independent work during centers. It gives students the opportunity to practice when working independently. The best part is that you will have access to reports that show you all of their answers. This makes for very useful data!
What's Included:
This MEGA Bundle includes two smaller bundles: the Nearpod CVC Bundle and the Differentiated Printables Bundle.
Bundle #1: The Nearpod CVC Bundle
This bundle includes 4 types of Nearpod lessons.
1) 5 Reading Lessons (1 per vowel sound):
These lessons each have 14 lessons that focus on sounding out and blending CVC words. Each lesson includes the following interactive activities:
- 2 brief instructional videos that teach students how to sound out words
- 3 slides where students are asked to identify specific sounds in a word with the short e sound
- a matching activity where students match the word to its picture
- an interactive game that serves as the lesson's exit ticket
2) 5 Writing Lessons (1 per vowel sound):
These lessons each have 23 slides that focus on writing CVC words. Each lesson includes the following interactive activities:
- 2 matching activities
- 8 slides where students are asked to write different CVC words (the correct spellings of these words are provided on consecutive slides)
- an interactive game that serves as the lesson's exit ticket
3) 5 Decodable Lessons (1 per vowel sound):
These lessons each have 25-34 slides and focus on reading decodable sentences with CVC words and various sight words. Each lesson includes the following interactive activities:
- 6 slides where students are asked to circle the vowel sound before reading the word
- 4 slides where students practice identifying and tracing the target sight words
- 4-8 slides where students practice writing the two-four target sight words
- 5 slides where students practice reading sentences with CVC words and the target sight words
- a matching activity where students match decodable sentences with their corresponding pictures
- an interactive game that serves as the lesson's exit ticket
4) 2 Word Chains Lessons:
These two lessons each have 17 slides that review how to change individual sounds in CVC words to make new words. Each lesson includes the following interactive activities:
- 6 slides where students are asked to write different CVC words
- 5 slides where students identify which letter needs to change in order to spell a new word
- an interactive game that serves as the lesson's exit ticket
The products are Powerpoint files with links to make copies of the lessons.
Bundle #2: The Differentiated Printables Bundle
Each resource is a zipped folder that includes both a PDF file and a Powerpoint file with a section for each activity. All printable worksheets are included both in color and black/white for easy printing.
Every vowel (short a/e/i/o/u) has its own packet of differentiated printable worksheets. Each packet includes:
- table of contents
- teaching tips and ideas included
- 4 color pages of picture cards
- 128 Elkonin/Sound Boxes half sheets (32 unique images; each image includes 2 levels and black/white)
