I wanted to come up with a resource that would help the children feel confident when talking Irish. I have come up with a family of bears - Mum, Dad, Oisín(brother) and Róisín(Sister).

Each of the bears have a set of clothes that are made to fit. These clothes can be used in summer and winter so it works very well with the theme of 'Aimsir'.

There is a PowerPoint that goes through all the vocabulary and phrases needed for the children to use in their partner work.

These clothes can also be used in small word in Aistear for themes such as school, weather and the summer etc.

Included in the pack is:

• Individual bears to cut out: Mum , Dad, Oisín and Róisín
• Individual bears with clothes to cut out - including 2 outfits each: Mum , Dad, Oisín and Róisín
• Clothes for each of the bears made to size:

Mum - 14 pieces of clothing - including winter and summer clothes

Sister (Róisín) - 20 pieces of clothing - including school, winter and summer
clothes

Dad - 12 pieces of clothing - including summer and winter clothes

Brother(Oisín) - 18 pieces of clothing - including school, winter and summer
clothes

• A 53 slide PowerPoint going through all the words and phrases for each of the bears to use for partner work
• A 26 slide PowerPoint including 14 games and activities for Éadaí including an interactive game of Grán Rósta and Cluiche Kim
• A playdough mat for the children to add items of clothing to the bears and discuss it in Irish
• A black and white version of the brother and sisters clothes so the children can design their own clothes
• 4 sheets of the bears wearing all their clothes- you don't need to cut this option out, you can go through this in partner work
• 4 pdfs of the bears to be used by the teacher or the children to direct them on drawing and colouring clothing onto the bears
• A summary sheet of all the phrases and vocabulary used in the PowerPoint. I have translated the phrases in English and Irish.
• 18 a5 displays and small cards for a game of memory
• Roll agus abair
• Cé mise - all bears on one sheet
