Digital Decimals as Tenths and Hundredths for Google Slides - intro to decimals

This is a great intro to decimals, starting with tenths and hundredths! You get 100 interactive slides, covering turning 10ths into 100ths as fractions, dragging and dropping models to match the fractions, matching models and decimals, creating models, decimal word problems and more! My favorite slides are where students drag and drop pennies and dimes to match specific decimals.

This is a great intro for students. It's also a really effective tie-in from fractions to help students gain a conceptual understanding of decimals while building on existing knowledge. This project is very visual, easy to manipulate, and designed to be done independently! I made it for my fourth graders and they were very successful with it while learning remotely. Next year, I plan to use it as a center!

One thing that sets my projects apart is that I maximize the google slides ratio (16 x 9) so that the screen is as big as possible for the kids (with no needed intervention from you). I also put ONE question on each page, rather than overloading the kids with too many details on one page. This is made for students to be able to be independent, happy and successful while mastering this important standard.
