Digital BPST-Basic Phonics Skills Test- Easy Actionable Data

Here is an awesome tool I created as a Reading Intervention Specialist. This tool will collect useable data focus on Basic Phonics Skills to help guide your lesson planning!

Purpose

The Basic Phonics Skills Test III (BPST) is a phonics assessment that consists of the recognition of letter sounds, specific phonics patterns, and the blending of single syllable and polysyllabic words out of context. The BPST is a tool for teacher to isolate the phonics sounds students can identify and blend successfully.

Through this form you can have a running record of your students that will keep track of the data for you on a spreadsheet. This will allow you to group students on specific phonics they are lacking and plan small group activities that are actually valuable to the students.

Not only does this form collect your BPST data into a Google Sheets, but it also has a built in Fluency Test that can be replaced with your districts CBM or WPM testing passage.

Included is the Google Sheets with BPST calculator. You will want to link your Google form to the Google Sheet in order to have the easiest time accessing the data.
