Dia de los Muertos - Solving Equations

In this activity, students will solve equations and add images to their skull based on their solution.

Activity includes:

• 12 Task Cards: Solving equations with distributive property, variables on both sides, fractions, and negative numbers.
• Worksheet: Space for students to record their work and add to their Skull Outline
• Answer Key

Teacher Notes: I have students work in groups of 2-4 and print the task cards for each group. I explain to them that the order in which the task cards are completed doesn’t matter. I also draw a skull on my whiteboard and label the different parts given the high number of ELL students in my classroom. My students absolutely love this activity!
