Description
Teach functional academics through practical life skills with your special education middle or high school students, with this differentiated DOLLAR STORE themed bundle! Students will work on their reading comprehension, learn life skills related vocabulary (including writing/spelling), money math, and community skills as they travel to the Dollar Store (digitally or in person) and search for items with a scavenger hunt!
3 Levels of each reading passage and activity are included.
5 pages per level included
Level 1 = Errorless with reduced text
Level 2 = Reduced questions & choices
Level 3 = Multiple Choice & Open Ended
First students will read all about the Dollar Store and learn related vocabulary (bargain, aisles, shelves, sections, gift card, saving money, affordable, cheap, pocket money, seasonal, quality, fresh, durable, checkout, tax, etc.). Next students complete various activities, including a reading comprehension worksheet, a money math worksheet, and an "explore" the store worksheet. Lastly, take students off campus (or visit a website store) to complete the final activity - a fun scavenger hunt!
