Description

Looking for a digital, no prep, fun and engaging way to teach your middle and high school students how to give and receive compliments, an important social skill? This packet includes a social story, 2 youtube links and activities! Compliments are a great way to fill the emotional buckets of those around us! It can be used in individual therapy, social skills groups or classroom activities (perfect Valentine's day activities). The content and graphics are geared for middle and high school students.

Here's what is included:

  • 7 page teaching story: The art of the Compliment, (color),
  • Links and descriptions of two youtube clips on compliments,
  • Worksheet for you tube clip,
  • Vocabulary worksheet (compliment: synonyms/antonyms),
  • 20 "make a deposit" pages featuring real photographs and scenarios for students to practice giving compliments,
  • 5 bucket filler pages (successful compliments) and 5 bucket drainer pages (unsuccessful compliments) for perspectivee-taking,
  • Compliment die for homework,
  • Compliment notes (students write out compliments to each other or to a friend or family member).
