This seven continents and major oceans geography resource includes:
- Continent Student Book - A cover page, label by number student maps, and pages picturing an outline of each of the 7 continents with space for students to write three facts about the continent are included.
- Continent and Ocean Quizzes - Both continent and ocean options come with and without word banks. Answer keys are included.
- Continent Study Cards - Each study card features a picture of the continent and the continent’s name. Study card pages can be stapled onto the back of the continent book for students to reference as they complete it or can be sent home to help students study their continents prior to a quiz.
UPDATE: This resource now includes both a print version and a TPT Easel version of the research book and quizzes.
When using this book in my second grade classroom, I read aloud a nonfiction book about each continent under our document camera. We discussed features of the continent as I read, and students took notes in their books. The student-made books were then sent home to share with families and aid students in studying for their continent quiz.
This book could also be used for recording information discovered through independent reading about the continents or independent internet research.
