What educators are saying
Thank you for the great resource. Students that finished their factoring practice first were up for this challenge.
Description
All math teachers wish their students would be better at factoring. Your students will get great practice with this essential skill as they work through the circuit. These 20 mixed factoring problems involve every kind of factoring from GCF to sum and difference of cubes. The problems are progressive in nature, and students must hunt for one of their factors to advance in the circuit. The last problem can not be factored, however, because the final answer is showing, students can use synthetic division or long division to reduce the polynomial. THEN it can be factored.
My students love the circuit format! They stay engaged, they talk and discuss, they lean over effortlessly to help each other. The only prep you have to do as a teacher is work the circuit ahead of your students so you understand the unpacking of the idea. The circuit takes care of the rest!
