What educators are saying

This bundle was an excellent addition to my American Literature Class. I loved all of the options with each unit. The unit is perfectly organized and easy to take out or add only the pieces you want to use in your class.
Great overall resource for helping organize my year - students found most of the activities engaging and challenging

    Description

This complete curriculum is designed for teaching British literature, and you will have a full year's worth of materials for teaching the canon of British literature from Britain's beginnings to today. Teach from Anglo-Saxon literature to Swift's satire to T.S. Eliot's existentialism. With each time period through the course of British Literature, I’ve provided complete teaching packs for some key canonical pieces to represent the time period.

Student Experience: Students will encounter a mix of fiction, nonfiction, informational texts, and poetry. Throughout the course of these units, students will read, write, create, present, and most of all learn and grow. You can pick and choose what works for you, or use the entire curriculum to cover each CC state reading, writing, and speaking standards in a year’s time. Not only will students be reading great British literature, but also they will be researching and writing along the way. If you are new to a British Literature course/senior English, if you are a veteran teacher looking to make some changes, differentiation, or even modern connections, if you are homeschooling, or if you are planning a leave of absence, this comprehensive resource will provide you more than enough material to do a great job – with as little prep for you as possible! Each time period starts with a carefully crafted, classic PPT designed to frame the unit and explain to students why studying British Literature can enrich their lives. This resource will provide the rigor and relevancy you need with as many engaging and energizing elements that your teens will enjoy as well.

♥ "This is the BEST BEOWULF Unit on TPT! Super organized!!! I love the PDFs of each section of Beowulf. This alone with make my life a million times easier! I am also loving the links to the electronic translations! The best part is the intro task cards. I no longer have to give Anglo-Saxon History notes all day Monday! Great work!"

♥ on the Frankenstein movie guide: "There are so many activities here, you can't do them all. It's nice to pick and choose the ones that fit your class and curriculum. This would work as supplemental to reading the novel, or just "reading" the movie as a text. Thanks!"
