What educators are saying

I love sorting activities when I have review stations before a unit test. This one worked perfectly!
Great activity for my students to learn about the three branches of government. It was nice to have a paper resource, as I feel my students are already inundated with technology.

Description

Branches of Government: Fun sorting activity - Maybe you are looking for something fun to do on President's Day...... This is fun for President's Day or any day you are working with the branches of government.

This is an activity where students will work with a partner or individually to sort characteristics of each branch into the correct column. For example, they would sort "Article 1" into the Legislative column and "must be 35 and born in the US" into the Executive Branch. There are 27 different slips to sort.

After students have sorted all of the cards, there is a skill sheet for students to fill each of the characteristics in the correct branch of government.
