What educators are saying

I love your ressources, they are very engaging and creative. This bundle has a variety of BTS and/or intro to various units activities. Thank you.
This gave me a variety of activities to get to know my students at the beginning of the year. I work in a small school, so the bundle allows me to change things up each semester, so even though I may have repeat students, I can learn different things about them.

    Description

The first week of math class is coming! Want to engage students, create community, and get to know your students… all while doing some math? Look no further!

Included are 4 resources that will help you tackle back to school:

    • The Graph of Me

This is an activity students love! Students determine if statements are true or false about themselves. Each statement has a corresponding ordered pair. Students graph the points for each true statement to create a unique shape. The result is "the graph of me!” and it’s perfect for getting to know your students.

    • Geometry Scavenger Hunt

Students work in groups to try to find examples of 15 geometry terms in the classroom. Most vocabulary terms are ones middle schoolers have heard before. This will give you an idea of what your students remember!

    • Ice Breaker Question Cards

Help students get to know each other at the beginning of the school year with these low prep question cards. This resource includes 36 cards, each with a question for students to ask each other. Suggested games are included.

    • 3D View of You

In this activity, students answer questions about themselves as they graph ordered pairs on a coordinate grid. Once they finish connecting all the points, they have created a net of a cube. They cut it out to form a 3D cube that is unique to them!

Be sure to check out the preview to get a closer look at each activity.

Grab this set and be ready for your first week of class!
