Description
Studying Georges Seurat's AFTERNOON AT LA GRANDE JATTE, students will learn the art history behind the pointillism art movement and how it applies to today's technology.
Included in the slides are personal pictures of mine when I saw the painting at the Art Institute of Chicago which offers students perspective on the size of the painting, and how Seurat spent months painting dots!
The art project uses 9x12 drawing paper, markers, and pencils. Designed for upper elementary, this can also be used with advanced lower elementary and adapted to middle and high school classes.
