Description

This is great for grades that do argumentative or persuasive papers. This will help them sort their thoughts as they read the grade level articles and develop a well thought out essay. It transfers over to a five paragraph paper and I have seen tremendous results with it in my classroom. It can be turned into a self made graphic organizer so they can prepare themselves to be tested on this type of writing. It includes reasons, explaining reasons, evidence, explaining evidence, concluding paragraphs, claims, call to action, and restating main points. The footer also includes the writing process steps that the students should take when completing the essay. It is a great way to show scaffolding in the classroom with writing.
