What educators are saying

I love these interactive science books. (I have the plant one also.) I think it's a useful resource to helping the kids understand a little more about animals and habitats.

Description

This 33-page science mini-book was created to help teach the Next Generation Science Standards for 2nd grade in interdependent relationships in ecosystems.

It covers the following principles: the different classes of animals, what is a habitat, what are adaptations, and the following habitats: forest, tropical rain forest, desert, ocean, wetlands, grassland, polar regions, and Australian outback.

Worksheets allow children to match animals to their habitats, label the adaptations of animals, and color in habitats on maps of the Earth.

The booklet contains a science glossary of important terms and 3 types of activities (cut-and-paste picture sorting, labeling, and map coloring worksheets) for students to complete to demonstrate understanding.

The document is in a half-page format (two to a page) to save paper and make copying class sets quicker and easier. Enjoy! =)

Be sure to check out my other products for the 2nd grade NGSS!
