Standard Addressed:

HS-ESS1-6. Apply scientific reasoning and evidence from ancient Earth materials, meteorites, and other planetary surfaces to construct an account of Earth’s formation and early history.

This activity walks students through the different evidences that scientists use to date the earth. Evidences include age of Earth rocks, moon rock composition and age, craters, and plate tectonics. Students will conclude with a CER to justify the age of the earth.
