This bundle contains writing prompts and quizzes for three novels that third graders love! The no-prep resources in this bundle will help you enjoy reading these books with your class instead of worrying about preparing activities.

Writing Prompts For Each Book

Vocabulary Activities (Winn-Dixie Only)

Use this interactive vocabulary activity to help your students understand, and be able to use, key vocabulary from Because of Winn-Dixie. Students will cut out vocabulary words and glue them in their notebook for every two chapters. Then they will attach the correct definition and sentence with each word. This is a very helpful, interactive way for students to practice the vocabulary, too. Directions and answer key are included.

Cloze Activities (Winn-Dixie Only)

This file contains a cloze reading activity for every two chapters of Because of Winn-Dixie. Each page contains a summary of the chapters, with missing words for students to fill in. Students select the missing words from a word bank at the bottom of each page. An answer key is included. To make it more challenging, you can cut off the word bank before you make copies.

Digging Deeper (Winn-Dixie Only)

Plot Analysis, Character Study, and Character Interaction pages to help your students dig a little bit deeper. No answer key is provided for the digging deeper resources.
