Description
This fun, hands-on Christmas craft pack ticks a lot of boxes. Your students will love making eight Christmas crafts, which could be turned into ornaments, plus there's an option to cover geometry math skills and creative writing at the same time.
The eight crafts include a Christmas tree (cone), present (cube), bauble (sphere), milk and cookies (cylinders), Santa hat (pyramid), gingerbread house (rectangular prism and triangular prism), and Santa stuck in the chimney.
To turn the crafts into ornaments add string or ribbon.
To integrate this activity with math, use the properties of 3D shapes for younger students, and the nets with measurements and recording sheets for finding the surface area of the nets.
To integrate with writing, use the writing prompt to write about what the students would do if Santa was stuck in the chimney. The chimney craft can be attached to the page to make a great bulletin board.
