What educators are saying

I teach third grade and use these in my small groups. I also will use them when I need to reinforce a concept with the whole class.
I used these within my classroom for both small groups and whole groups. The kids were engaged and loved the passages.

Who are these differentiated reading passages best for?

This packet was created for a 1st grade classroom, but it includes three different levels of reading passages.  The on-level passage will work well for the majority of 1st graders, while the beginning level works best for struggling 1st graders or kindergarteners. The highest level passages work well for advanced 1st graders or on-level 2nd graders. You may download the sample to get an idea of the levels of each passage.

How can I use these 1st grade reading comprehension passages in my classroom?

This is a HUGE TIMESAVER when planning for small group reading lessons each week.  With the three levels of differentiation, I can use the same topic for almost all of my reading groups.  I use these weekly during my small group reading lessons, but they would also work well in whole group or independent work.

One of the BEST resources I have ever bought from TPT (and trust me I have bought ALOT)!! This has everything you can hope for! Absolutely no prep needed for your daily guided reading FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR! Having three different passages for each story at three different levels is amazing! This allows all the students in the class to practice the same reading skill, and learn about the same topic, but at a level that is good for them. LOVE LOVE LOVE this and use this almost everyday throughout the year!

⭐ This is an AMAZING resource for guided reading. I love the prediction pages with a picture that really help the students stay focused on the topic. Also, I love telling them their writing goal for the week which is included.

⭐ This is one of the best purchases I've made on TPT!  It allows you to use the same "Power Words" or vocabulary with your class, but the passages using the vocabulary are written at 3 different reading levels allowing all students to access the content!  It also contains a written option and reading response for each reading. Wow! This has saved me so much time! Thank you!
