Description
The 1950s to 1960s America PowerPoint and Google Slides teaches students about the history of the United States after World War II. This was the time of the affluent society and the Civil Rights Movement. This PPT and Google Slides includes some questions students need to answer while the teacher is presenting. This bundle also has a fun presentation on the biography of Martin Luther King with a trivia game at the end!
In the class, students will understand what the United States was like in the 1950s when the Civil Rights Movement began into the tumultuous sixties. It will also touch on Cold War topics like the Vietnam War.
How to use this bundle (suggestion):
- Present the PowerPoints (or Google Slides) during two class periods. While presenting, keep the students active by turning the presentation into a discussion. There are accompanying questions for the students to fill out while the teacher is presenting. There are two PPTS, so the presentations should take at least two to three classes. It depends how fast the teacher goes through the presentations.
- The Martin Luther King presentation and trivia can either be done as homework or in class. It's a nice supplement to the presentations. It's a lot of fun for the students.
Good luck and let us know how it goes!
